🧬 What is the RIKEN IMS Internship?

A prestigious 1–3 month internship at Japan’s leading biomedical institute – RIKEN Center for Integrative Medical Sciences (IMS) – located in Yokohama.

🌍 Open to all nationalities
🎓 Open to:

• Master’s students

• PhD students

• Postdocs (within 3 years of PhD)

💰 What’s Covered?

✅ Round-trip airfare
✅ Accommodation allowance
✅ ¥3,000/day stipend (for students)
✅ Access to high-tech labs and global mentors

📝 How to Apply (Step-by-Step)

1. Choose a Lab
   Browse and shortlist your preferred lab from this list:

2. Email the Lab Team Leader
   Reach out with a short intro, your CV, and your interest in interning. Mention your proposed dates and how your interests align.

3. Get Confirmation
   If they agree to host you, work with them to refine your research topic and finalize dates.

4. Prepare Documents
   You’ll need:

• Your CV

• Statement of Purpose (1 A4 page)

• Research Background (1 A4 page)

• Preferred internship dates

• GDPR form (for EU/UK students)

• 1 Recommendation Letter

5. Submit Everything to the Lab
   Once ready, email all documents directly to the lab.

⏳ Apply at least 4 months before your planned start date.
